Opening up a trading account with Citibank is easy. If you are an individual based in the US then visit: www.citifxpro.com/application Otherwise go to: www.citifxpro.com/open-an-account where you can download the respective application form.
Individual US CitiFX Pro Account
If you are based in the US and are applying for an Individual Traders account then you can do this online. The application process is quick and easy and shouldn’t take any longer than 10 minutes to complete. Bear in mind you will need the following information to hand:
- Social Security Number
Step 1 and 2: Welcome
The first step is to acknowledge our risk disclosure, explanation of pricing and personal data notice. This information is important and you will need to provide your consent on these screens to proceed with the application.
Step 3: Personal and Employment Details
The next step is to fill out your personal details including social security number, and place of residence – this is to ensure you are who you say you are. You will also have to fill out employment details. If you are currently employed then Citibank will require you to list your current employers name and address.
Step 4: Financial Information
In order to determine whether you are eligible for a CitiFX Pro account, you will need to provide financial information such as your annual income, estimated net worth, liquidity and whether you have ever been made bankrupt in the past.
Step 5: Experience
Citibank will also ask you to provide them with information based on your previous trading experience to help them gauge your application and determine whether the CitiFX Pro platform is right for you.
Step 6: Documentation
You will also need to provide documentation to backup your application. This includes:
- Driving licence, Passport, State ID
- Bank statement/ Utility Bill
- W-9 Form
If you don’t have the documents to hand then you can submit this information at a later date. However, bare in mind that this will slow down the application process.
Step 7: Review
Once you have completed the application and accepted the terms and conditions, you can then review the information you have supplied. If you are happy then click submit.
Your application is then sent off to a member of the CitiFX Pro team who will review the application and contact you to inform you as to whether you have been successful or not and how to wire money into your account.
You will also receive a confirmation email that will be sent to the address you provided at the beginning of the application.
All the information is treated confidentially and the application is held on a secure platform for added peace of mind.
